Katie Scullin is an award-winning singer and songwriter who has captivated audiences at festivals, listening rooms, and private parties all the way from Northern Wisconsin to the heart of Texas country. Whether performing solo or backed by her band, Katie’s sound pulls from the influences of pop, rock, and soul, tied together by her signature rhythm guitar, broad vocal range, and newly infused keys.

At the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic Katie began teaching guitar, voice, and songwriting, and set her sights on learning the ins and outs of music production. She is building out the next stage of her musical career – as a producer, mentor, and mastering engineer – while continuing to tour and make music. Katie will begin to release her next set of songs in the spring of 2022. She has launched a Patreon to sustain the long-term goal of regular music and video releases.

Music is not for the ears alone -- it should be heard, seen, felt, and explored. Katie’s studies in visual communications inspire her to explore new ways to intertwine audio and visual concepts. “I'm detail oriented, and am often guided in my musings by things in nature,” she says. “I think a lot of this has to do with spending so much of my childhood in the [Wisconsin] Northwoods with no electricity.”

While on tour Katie has opened for and/or shared billing with acts such as Jay Leno, Charlie Berens, Miles Neilsen, Gwen Sebastian, Bret Michaels, Uncle Kracker, Big Sean, Bone Thugs & Harmony, and more.

In 2019 Katie Scullin was voted Best of Madison (Wisconsin) - Gold and Best Musician/Band by the Jefferson County (Wi.) Daily Readers Poll.

In 2017 she released a full-length album called Pieces, funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign. The track "Porch Hangs" reached number one on the Top 41 by WSUM/Max Ink Radio, landing her on the cover of Maximum Ink Magazine. She proceeded to take home an award for BestPop/R&B Song at the Madison Area Music Awards.

Additional accolades include Best Singer Songwriter for 105.5 Project M (2014); MAMA (Madison Area Music) award for her work with the winning techno-pop group Star Persons (2011); and Emerging Artist Series Summerfest winner with band Rivalry (2009).

Katie says her recent work teaching, studying production and mastering has led to some of her most rewarding experiences yet. She continues to write, collaborate within, and explore the ever-changing world of the music business with other artists around the U.S., while also laying the groundwork for her own production studio.
